“Awopa” (botanical name Enantia chlorantha, or Annickia chlorantha) is an African yellow wood tree known in Yoruba traditional medicine as Dokita Igbo. It is primarily celebrated for its antimalarial, anti-inflammatory, and antimicrobial properties, and is commonly brewed as a liquid herbal remedy known locally as agbo.
